PCA Confidential, known as Clip Show for its Canadian broadcast, is the 26th episode of Season 3 (14th episode of Season 4 for its American broadcast) and the 66th overall episode of the Nickelodeon TV series Zoey 101. It aired in the US following the premiere of the series finale Chasing Zoey on May 2, 2008.
Plot
Zoey, Chase, and Stacey take a walk down memory lane as prospective new students ask them about their experiences at PCA during a Q&A session hosted by Coco. Stacey Dillsen becomes upset when no one asks her questions. Questions for Zoey and Chase cover a range of topics, including dating, science and technology, dress code, and more.
Trivia
- Zoey and Chase are the only main characters to appear in this episode, though the rest of the main cast is shown in flashbacks.
- This episode aired internationally as part of Season 3. For its U.S. broadcast, an alternate edit was produced, incorporating clip footage from Chasing Zoey and including a scene where Chase and Zoey respond differently to the question about being a couple.
- Because this episode aired after Chasing Zoey in the U.S., it can technically be considered the series finale.
- Nicole Bristow and Dana Cruz appear in flashbacks from Seasons 1 and 2.
- This episode is similar to iBloop and iBloop 2: Electric Bloopaloo from iCarly, Blooptorious from Victorious, #BlooperEpisode from Sam & Cat, and Dr. Phyllis Show from Drake & Josh. All of these are episodes from other Schneider’s Bakery shows which also have bloopers or flashbacks from previous episodes.
- This episode is similar to the Sam & Cat episode #BlooperEpisode. In this episode, poor Stacey is ignored. In the Sam & Cat episode, Zoran (Goomer) is ignored.
- The U.S. releases of the Season 3 and 4 DVDs both omit this episode, making it the only episode of the series not available on DVD in the nation. In Canada, the Season 3 DVD includes the original version of the episode.
- In the background whiteboard, you can see "Clip Show" as one of the bulletins along with the names of sports and extracurriculars that PCA offers. This is a hidden easter egg, as Clip Show was the original title of this episode (and the title for its Canadian release).
- This is the only episode where Michael Barret isn’t shown (except in flashbacks).
- No one asked Stacey Dillsen a question.
Goofs
- When Chase recalls comments about his bushy hair, the flashback includes a clip from Dance Contest where Michael says, "...crazy Jewish Afro." However, Chase was asleep when this was originally said.
- Two deleted scenes are shown during flashbacks:
- In one flashback from Son of a Dean, Zoey pours a drink on Lance in his limousine—a scene that doesn't appear in the original episode.
- Another flashback has a scene from Silver Hammer Society where Lola shaves the back of a Silver Hammer Society member during her initiation. In the aired version of the episode, only the part where Lola applies and spreads shaving cream on the member's back is shown.
