Michael Loves Lisa is the seventh episode in Season 3 and the 33rd overall episode in the Nickelodeon TV series, Zoey 101. The episode aired on January 7, 2007.

Plot

After developing a crush on a girl named Lisa, Michael becomes too nervous to perform in the Open Mic Night, causing him to throw up on her and another guy. While cleaning up, Lisa falls in love with the other guy. Upon hearing this, Michael becomes really sad. Meanwhile, Chase and Logan challenge each other to a go-kart race, so Chase enlists the help of Quinn to make sure he wins; he does, but can't stop the kart, and nearly flattens Lisa until Michael pushes her out of the way, saving her life and making her his girlfriend.

Episode Trivia

  • Paul Butcher (Dustin Brooks) did not appear in this episode.
  • The girls have a Corrine Bailey Rae poster in their dorm.
  • Michael's first kiss on the show occurs in this episode.
  • Lisa Tucker and Christopher Massey are both actually professional singers.
  • This is the only episode to be named after Michael's character.
  • Stacey Dillsen's "Sassafras Tea" song (or Shashafrash Tea) comes from a deleted scene from this episode, where Stacey performs it at the talent show. It would not be heard on the show until Logan Gets Cut Off.[1]
  • When Zoey says why she can't remember her key, Quinn kindly suggest it was cute when she wearing it around her neck. Ironically, Quinn couldn't possibly know that Zoey's key was painted Pink and White with a brush. This is because in Season 1's "New Roomies," Zoey invited her idea after she moved out back with Nicole and Dana.

Goof

  • When Chase and Stacey are talking, it is obvious it's mid-afternoon, but in all the camera cuts of Logan, it is obviously night.
