Alone at PCA is the third episode in Season 4 and the 55th overall episode of Zoey 101. The episode first aired on February 3, 2008.
Plot
The gang must stay on campus over spring break when Coco cancels their trip to Yosemite. Dean Rivers' golf trophy gets smashed by an unknown vandal, and he puts Michael and Logan under dorm arrest when he believes they are responsible.
Zoey, Lola, Quinn, and Mark set out to find the real culprit, who ultimately turns out to be PCA maintenance man and former student, Seamus Finnigan, who was Dean Rivers' classmate and golf rival. Seamus and Dean Rivers were on the golf team back when they attended PCA, and the former smashed the trophy because he feels the Dean never deserved it, which ultimately leads to a physical fight between the two.
In the end, the gang celebrates at a bonfire. Logan and Michael thank Mark and the girls for proving their innocence and question them on who ended up winning the fight between Seamus and Dean Rivers. No one knows, but Dean Rivers and Seamus (who both look pretty rough from the fight) have decided to bury the hatchet over the golfing thing and become friends.
Meanwhile, poor Stacey is waiting for her parents to pick her up to go skiing in Steamboat Springs, but they never show up. After 4 days, Stacey gives up and heads back to her dorm.
Trivia
- Paul Butcher (Dustin Brooks) is absent from this episode.
- Dean Rivers' fight with Seamus is a reference to Captain Kirk's fight with Finnigan in the Star Trek episode "Shore Leave".
- Before turning on the leaf blower, Seamus says, "Say hello to my wee friend!", a reference to the line "Say hello to my little friend!" in Scarface.
- Seamus Finnigan is also the name of a character from Harry Potter.
- This is the second episode of Season 4 in production order.
- This episode is the last episode in which James Garrett was still an unseen and absent character. He eventually appeared in episode 4 and appeared until episode 12.
- This episode revealed that when Coco takes one of the PCA buses and returned them, they smell like tears and fired chicken.
- Because Stacey's parents never showed up or had their phone connection to her disconnected, it is assumed that they planned to spend spring break with each other and not Stacey.
- Moral: Make the best of a bad situation.
Goofs
- The PCA security guards stand by Logan and Michael's door. Logan and Michael could have left through the window.
- Stacey is sitting on the curb waiting for her parents to show up. When the guy with the blower came by and swept the leaves on her, it showed no sign of her when he walked by. Just her luggage.
- This episode has closed caption errors.
